Stenography students at Brown College can choose between campus or online courses. Our online program leverages technology to provide live online evening classes through our virtual classroom. This provides students with the flexibility they need to work, care for their families or pursue their dream of becoming a court reporter even when no court reporting school is in their area. Brown College online classes are delivered via  Blackboard® Academic Suite, a collaborative education platform that engages the student and focuses on student success.

Highly self-motivated individuals with strong organizational skills can be very successful in our online program. Our live online classes are designed to give students the interaction they would receive in a classroom setting. Students can participate in discussions, ask questions and get to know their peers. Online students also have access to the same services as those who take classes on campus – for example, our Career Services department will help find externships, assist with writing your resume and assist you in your job search.
